The Nokia Lumia 1020 will touch down in the UK on September 5, making it the priciest Lumia model till date. The recently unveiled Lumia will be priced at £549.98, which will be unlocked and sim free. Sources say that the device will be offering the phone for pre-order. At this moment, neither Nokia nor any of the major networks will indicate what the subsidized device cost might look like.
The smartphone has in it a spectacular 41 MP camera with optical image stabilization, Carl Zeiss optics, LED and Xenon flash. Besides this, the 4.5-incher comes with a 1,280 x 768 pix resolution screen, 2 GB of RAM, 2,000 mAh batteries and a dual-core CPU.
From the features provided, this device has attempted to make a unique type of camera, one which suits life in a pocket. There is a variety of innovative features, such as mechanical image stabilization and two flashes for different light conditions. Its Pro Camera software is filled with unique features too, making it simple and interesting, clicking unusual images in seconds. As with its previous release, the camera can capture pictures of up to a resolution of 38 megapixels, but defaults back to 5 megapixel images to increase the clarity.
These are not all the features the new Lumia has to offer. While running the Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 mobile, the smartphone features the usual variety of Nokia applications, which includes the Nokia Pro camera app.
The handset has already been launched in the US, in an event in New York last month, with the Finnish mobile makers touting the Lumia 1020 as the best camera phone available on the market.
